Time between Us at the Singapore International Festival of the Arts

Before I forget, I want to write up something quickly about this amazing performance in which I had the great opportunity to participate as assistant to amazing director Fernando Rubio.

In Time between Us and actor, the man, spends 5 days in a small wooden house built for this performance. The man decides to leave the place he knows to feel like a stranger and inhabits this solitary time, which is simultaneously shared with others. He makes an aesthetic and unique event out of this moment, looking to experience the absence and the relationship with unknown people, based on the supposition that he can be another person.

This performance was a learning experience for me, both in terms of learning from a unique director and his artistic point of view and aesthetics, but also in terms of the dialogue that was opened between western and eastern concepts and ways of performing.
